2/10/11 – Amersham

Amersham
Running Day
2/10/11

The Amersham Running Day is often unkindly called the Amersham Raining Day but that was certainly not the case in 2011.

We provided RF280 for service but also took along RF453 with tools aboard and also as a standby vehicle. It wasn’t long before the inspector came begging!

Green Line liveried RF226 (MLL 763) departing Amersham on the circuitous route 394 to . . . Amersham!

Close behind is our RF280 heading for Chesham on route 348.

RF453 was standby vehicle and has been deployed on route 301 – normally an RT route. It waits at the Berkhamsted terminus – note the interesting blind display used because we didn’t have anything better!

But we were scheduled to stand here!

Later in the day, RF453 was photographed at the Cholesbury terminus of route 397.

For being just a standby vehicle, RF453 was quite busy! Last trip of the day was a 316 to Ley Hill, where it is seen on the stand as shadows lengthen.
