The Pump House Museum at Walthamstow celebrated the centenary of AEC in May, with trips running to the factory site.

Former London AEC Swift SMD91 (AML 91H) was patiently awaiting some TLC. It had latterly been used as an exhibition bus.

It is thought that the nearby building behind the wall is the original AEC Walthamstow factory, used by Vanguard until 1910

One of the reasons I wanted to visit the event was that just down the road were the premisies of the London Borough of Waltham Forest, where RF433 was based as a school bus 1972 to 1975 after sale by London Transport.
