For a rally making a comeback (after two-years absence) in the middle of summer, things did not look promising during the week leading up to this event. Some parts of the country were feet deep in flood water and the long-term forecast was for heavy rain and winds and the thought of spending a day on a wind-swept airfield in those conditions did not appeal. However, by Friday, the forecast had been "watered-down" but we set off on the day in almost continual rain.

A little damp and wet!

Routemasters and more Routemasters!
But it didn't rain all day(in fact it didn't rain that much) and this uncountable line of Routemasters deserved a photograph.

And by the end of the day, Incy Wincy Spider was on his way up the spout again! RT1784 basks in the sunshine after many vehicles had already left.
