Wythall
MCW event at the Transport Museum

In August the Transport Museum at Wythall held an event for vehicles manufactured by Metro-Cammell, later known as Metropolitan-Cammell-Weymann. Given their Birmingham base, it is not surprising their was good representation from local operators, but there didn’t seem much from further afield – our RF433 was the only visiting London vehicle.

Our RF433 was parked next to Leicester 8, a 1966 Leyland PD3A/1 Titan with MCW bodywork.

The only RF present (other than ours) was the museum’s own RF381 (MXX 23).

Tucked away round the back of the museum was an un-restored London Transport AEC Merlin which appears to be MBA588 (AML 588H)
